I saw this movie a few days ago, sorry for the late entry.
The film is about an upcoming writer who has a long period of writers block. As he finds the story of another man and decides to put his name on it you see his progression while dealing with the consequences.
This movie was amazing, pure brilliance if I may add. Everyone was waiting to watch this film. Brian Klugman did a great job with directing the film. I loved the rewinding of present and past. I found the film to be hard to comprehend. It was hard to follow but once you look at it in retch respect you have a better understanding. People may say this film was slow. No, it just was not an action film so the film took time.
Bradley Cooper was very dramatic and played his role like non other. I liked Bradley Cooper in this film overall because I have only seen him in comedy's. It was a change of script for me and I liked it. Zoe Saldana with Bradley had so much chemistry. They use to have a relationship so that must be where it is from. They were both great onscreen, I loved them together and I found that they brought out a different side of each character you didn't see for the full movie. Jeremy Irons played The Old Man. His character gave me the chills when he spoke and when he reviled he wrote the story it just shocked me. The performance was great. I was very fond of Ben Barns who played The Old Man but when he was young. I loved the flashbacks and the entire concept of flashbacks turning into reality, slowly rewinding. The cast was fantastic.
Overall I loved the film. I wouldn't watch it again, it would be a one time thing. I do very much recommend this film for upcoming writers and people who just like drama. I give this film and A.

The cast does their whole best to make everything work and in ways, they succeed, but I think the script and premise was just a bit too tricky for its own good. Nice review Raquel.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I do agree, the movie was a bit difficult to understand as I said but overall in retch respect you end up understanding it and the different level of this movie made it what it was. Thanks for the comment!
