A Day At The Pool

Today my family went to the pool. I didn't really want to go swimming so i decided to bring my camera instead. My brother and his friend were swimming and the started to jump in so i took some photos. I got some air shots and pictures of the after splash. Here are the better photos i took. I did this photo shoot by continuous shots which is an option on my camera. i did not post all the all of the continuous shots.

Such Dolls

I use to collect expensive barbies and here are some of them...

This photo is of the Wicked Witch of the East, the one who got squished by Dorothy. I took 2 versions of this photo, one blurry and one clear but i preferred the blurry one.

This is a side view of Dorothy. I dont like how the barbies looked from a portrait view so all my photos are a bit tilted. Also i dont want them too look like barbies but more like actual people and when you see them straight on it is more obvious. 

   

  For all you Twilight fans this is Victoria. She was very difficult to get a good shot of her because of her features. Her ginger hair, red eyes and pale skin but after a few takes i finally got a nice shot. 

As you all see I talk about these dolls like they are all real people. The reason i took these photos is because i never actually use these dolls, they just sit around so i decided to put them to good use. Inglourious Basterds Review

Inglourious Basterds is a Quentin Tarantino film based upon the true facts of WW2 or otherwise known as the Holocaust.

The movie starts in Nazi occupied France with a French-German family hiding Jews. When the Nazis kill the hidden family one brave 18 year old gets away. Her name is Shosanna.. After that, they show a few years later when Shosanna has changed her name and now owns her own cinema. When German war hero Frederick Zoller falls for Shosanna she is informed that he wants to have the showing of his documentary at her cinema. At the showing there will be lots of high up Nazis including Hitler. She plans to burn the cinema down, on the day of the premiere.

When Shosanna is planning this master plan there are some other people who have the same motives, they are called "The Basterds". The basterd are an American-Jewish group of Nazi killers. They follow the tactics of a certain native group. As they hear about this premiere without the knowledge of Shosanna's plan they create their own plan to assassin the nazis.

I will not tell you the ending but it is time to tell you my opinion on this film. I found this film amazing, brilliant if I may add. It was produced so well! Quentin Tarantino is known for his graphic films and this was one of them but the graphicness of the production just added onto the drama. Add the theme of the film plus the great production, it equals awesomeness!!! Mélanie Laurent, a French actress, played Shosanna and she was great, she played so well, it was very emotional! The role of LT, Aldo Raine was played by Brad Pitt and even though this was a dramatic movie he was very funny. In very graphic scenes he would be so calm and collective. Simply brilliant!

Overall I loved this film. It was made so brilliantly, I cannot believe it! I very much recommend this film, but again it is very graphic so be warned. Also most of this film is in french and german but obviously there is english subtitles. There are parts in english but not very many. I give this movie an A! As always I have to go but I'll be back

Puppy!

Last night i was not tired at all! i was lying in bed and thinking "What to do, what to do?" Guess what, my camera was staring right at me saying "Take pictures!!!!". So i listened to my camera and took some photos. My puppy Teddy was being weirdly nice and started posing for me! I also got some cute photos of him sleeping.

Teddy is a very nice dog. He gets very excited and is very protective of his owners. He likes going under my brothers bed to relax but he gets scared very easily. He does not like grapes, eggs and carrots. He likes peanut butter but we almost never give him. When we do its hard for him to eat because his teeth get stuck. Its very funny. He looks a lot like a small German Shepard but has a Collie snout. When any of my family members leave the house he will cry because he is still a little baby. Teddy is an amazing dog and i love him! I have to go but ill be back, i hope you liked the photos and the little entry.

Black Swan Mini Review

(I did not watch the full film. I just saw the strange parts

The movie was a bout a 28 year old lady named Nina who goes through anorexia and a someone depression which brings her terrible thoughts. As she gets the lead of The Black and White Swan people start to question her. Is she tough or bad enough to play the 2 lead roles? And she started to question herself also...

Darren Aronofsky is simply amazing. The effects of two Natalie's was so well done! Let alone the movie was not scary but disturbing. When Nina Sayers the lead "killed" Lily I was shocked, but as she realizes Lily is still alive she questions herself thinking: if she is not stabbed, then who is? When she does her last performance knowing its her end she makes it her best! Her last words were I'm Perfect with that being her main goal throughout the film.

I can't say my overall comment on the movie but from what I see I want to see it very badly! I strongly recommend it! It is somewhat very weird and disturbing! But again it is amazingly well done. As always I have to go but I'll be back soon!

Technical Difficulties?

There comes a time in every upcoming photographers life where they have some technical difficulties with their camera. For the first time I had some tech difficulties. And I have to say that it was NOT a fun experience. It was not fun for me nor my family who had to go through so much trouble for me. So today I thought I would brighten your day with my amusing misery. This is not one of my typical blog entries about a review on a movie or info and pics from a place... No, this is just something a little more personal but very funny. Here it goes. :D

One day I was taking some pictures as usual, but suddenly my camera said: BATTERIES EXHAUST. I obviously still wanted to take photos so I go to the convenience to get batteries. Since I was in the middle of a photos shoot I just got a random brand of batteries for my camera (you photographers will understand my problem from here). The random brand was Panasonic. So I put the batteries in my camera and BOOM! My camera worked. But after about 15 minutes I tried to take a photo but then my camera turns off. I keep trying but I repeatedly get the same results. So I put my camera away for a few days.

I told my parents about my dorky dilemma. So we go to the place we got my camera and this place is on the other side of Toronto, I'm not even sure if we were still in Toronto. So we go inside to customer service who tell us to go to the electronics and then back to customer service, back and forth, back and forth. Let's put it this way. My mom, younger brother and I went on a wild goose chase that felt like it would never end.

As we were just about to give up, my miracle appears. Her name was Veronica. This wonderful lady tells me that it was a waste of time coming to the store. So I ask why my dear, WHY? She is a camera specialist and tells me she thinks its the type of batteries I used. I ranted to her how they are brand new batteries. How could this be. She gave me a lecture on how some batteries don't work for such powerful cameras and I need to get my batteries from camera stores. So she gives me some new batteries and my family and I head home.

My camera works now. I want you to learn from my mistake and remember, get good batteries, not cheep dollar store ones. And most importantly, NEVER PANASONIC!!!!! A Day Up In Unionville

A few days ago, I went up to Unionville for the annual Jazz Festival. it was amazing. Great music and great people. Also some delicious food! Me being me I had to get some photos. Most of my photos are not very good I was in a rush and I had to depend on my iPod. IPods aren't very Dependable. So I got a few photos and I just wanted to share my experience with you.

If you don't personally know me then you didn't know that I play the Alto Saxophone. So i tried to get as many photos of the sax player as possible. I got a few but with the terrible zoom on iPods all my photos of the Jazz Band are blurry. Oh, how much I wish I had my camera. I really enjoyed the music. Every corner of Unionville was a different type of Jazz. It was so fun and exciting!

Next time I go to Unionville I will definitely bring my camera! Well as always I have to go but I'll be bac ASAP!

As the Olympics just finished i felt like i had to make a little tribute to the team of Canada, so i took some photos of Canada stuff, like the flag. I hope you like the photos!!! Take Charge

I know I told you a while ago about take charge. A short film I'm working on and you haven't heard much about it. Well I'm happy to say our first day of filming is tomorrow!!!! I haven't told you a lot but here I will give you a small bio about this film.

THE CAST AND CHARACTERS: I am going to tell you about the amazing cast and some info about the characters.
-Veronica T. will be playing the lead role of Kylie Sayner. She experienced a vision telling her that she has to save the forest because there is a strange mystery of how a lot of trees are disappearing. Kylie is very stubborn but learns to grow through that to make a change in the world.
-Stefani S. will be playing the role of Lilac Ranther. Lilac is one of Kylie's friends and supports Kylie through the film. She also encourages Kylie to listen to her heart. Lilac is a tomboy but is very humble and down to earth
-Emma S. will be playing the roll o Olive Jioana. Olive is also a friend of Kylie, but she doesn't support the choice of Kylie being Eco Friendly. Olive is very spoiled and is used to getting what she wants. But not today.

These are the main characters that you will be seeing a lot in the film. There are a few smaller parts but I'm not goin to introduce them today. You will see them soon though.

After the first shoot I will right in an entry on how the day went. A few days later I will post an official blooper reel with all the behind the scenes stuff. I cant wait till tomorrow, it's going to be a blast!!! Well, a always I have to go but I'll be back very soon with a special something later today! I'll be back!!

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Dog Days

I have never been a fan of the series. I never read the books or seen any of the other movies. The storyline of a lazy wimp doesn't interest me that much. The movie had some good parts but overall I wasn't exactly fawned of it.

The movie starts of with the last day of school introducing all the characters. The plot of the film for Greg was to spend the summer with Holly Hills, his dream girl. Though the actual overall plot was to spend time and bond with his father. In the process of this, his father buys him a dog to teach Greg responsibility. There are some troubles with the dog, so thats where we get the name dog days.

The performance of the actors was... Ok. I did not like Greg or Roderick's character. Greg was lazy and Roderick was just weird and mean. I did like Holly Hills because of her kindness. I thought she was going to be a spoiled little brat but she proved me wrong. Rowley... I don't know what to feel about this character. He was very kind to treat Greg so well but overall he was kind of a wimp too. I think I like Rowley more than I don't. His character is very genuine. I have mix opinion about the characters in the film.

If you have read any of my other reviews then you would understand what types of movies I'm into. If you are like me I don't recommend this film. I think I could of slept through it. But if you have a history of liking these types of films then you should go and watch it. I said I don't like it now, but If I went to see this when I was 8 or 9 than I would probably love this film. The only reason I saw it was cause my friend is in love with Zachary Gordon. Overall I do not recommend it. Well a always I have to go but, I'll be back!!

Welcome To The Town Of Newmarket

Today I went to Newmarket, ON. Even though it was raining I have to say, the town is beautiful. As I live in Toronto, its a change of scenery. Newmarket is more calm then Toronto. I went to Upper Canada Mall and it is SO big that I kept getting lost. I would love to go there again!

When I went to UCM. I went to get some shoes. Wow, I saw Nike, Adidas, Converse and beautiful Toms. I went to one store and they had so many Toms. I loved the neon pick and orange Toms. So me being me, I took out my camera and got a prefect pic of those pink Toms. I couldn't convince my mom to buy them but I promise, I'm getting them one way or another!

I went to a store called Boat House. It's a store for bathing suits, bags, clothing and more. As most of you can tell, it is summer so I wanted a new bathing suit. I go to the rack and see these beautiful I Love Boobies bathers. I wasn't sure if I was going to buy it so I took a very cool photo instead. I am very supportive for breast cancer awareness because a close family friend of mine just went through breast cancer. If you ever see me I will have a lot of I Love Boobies bracelets on. Just so you know I ended up buying the bather and it is so pretty. Everyone please buy one of those bracelets, all the money goes to breast cancer research. Well I hope you like the photos, I have to go but I'll be back!!

21 Jumpstreet

I know that 21 Jumpstreet came out a while ago but I just saw it and I felt the need to share my thoughts about it with you. As some of you may know, this movie was based on an old tv show with the same name. Though the movie was much, MUCH more jokes than the original. So here is my review on 21 Jumpstreet.

I grew up with 3 male figures in my life. So this gives me a very different girl opinion. Most girls, like my mother would say this was a stupid and pointless movie. But me, being like a boy, thought this was pure genius. The movie, unlike the tv series, was a comedy about 2 cops who go undercover as high school student to crack a drug deal. As the 2 main characters Schmidt and Jenko (played by Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill) go to high school again the roles change as Schmidt becomes cool and popular and Jenko become a total nerd. While trying to crack the drug dealers there are many obstacles during the journey.

Channing Tatum who played Jenko was amazing in this role. Channing this year also played in the vow. A very girly film. I have to say, I love him in comedy's! He played the role very well and he was able to show Jenkos crazy side and his soft side. He was definitely my favorite character and actor. Jonah Hill played Schmidt, the nerdy one. But as they go to high school again he becomes cool. I loved Jonah in this movie. He felt right at home with this comedy as I could tell. He always plays the same type of character and still succeeds to make me laugh. I love the performance of Ellie Kemper as the chemistry teacher Ms. Griggs. Her character has a LITTLE crush on Jenko. She is very noticeable and totally made me pee my pants. At the credits you see her and Jenko... Getting it on... Finally!! haha. I found her character to be very funny. Brie Larson as Molly was a great actress. I loved when she was high. I adored her relationship with Schmidt. They are so cute together. Go team Scholly!!! Haha. She was a great actress in the film and she was good with the different personalities. From being calm an collective to being as high as the sky. I hope to see Brie in other comedy's in years to come.

Overall I loved this movie. It, to me was pure genius. They are working on a sequel as I type, at this very moment. It will be Jenko am Schmidt off to collage where they can smoke do and f*ck who and whatever they want! Going down in history as my favorite catchphrase "the only thing that's getting blown tonight, is their cover" with that, I have to go but I'll be back
